Radhe Shyam is a Radha Krishna Kumar-directed 2022 Indian period love drama film. UV Creations and T-Series produced the film, which was shot concurrently in Telugu and Hindi. Prabhas and Pooja Hegde appear in it. The film is set in 1970s Italy and depicts the narrative of Vikramaditya, a palmist who is torn between destiny and his love for Prerana.

Thaman S created the score for the Telugu version, while Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara scored for the Hindi version. The soundtracks for the Hindi and Telugu versions of the film differ. The Hindi songs were written by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, and Manan Bhardwaj, whereas the Telugu songs were written by Justin Prabhakaran. Manoj Paramahamsa is in charge of the cinematography.

Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao edited the video. The film's principal photography began in October 2018 and will conclude in July 2021, with locations including Hyderabad, Italy, and Georgia.

The original release date of July 30, 2021, was pushed back owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Radhe Shyam was released theatrically on March 11, 2022, to mixed-to-negative reviews from reviewers, with acclaim focused on the music, cinematography, production values, and performances of Prabhas and Hegde, but criticism pointed at the dialogues, script, director, and narrative. The film was a box office flop, with reported losses of over 100 crores, the most for an Indian film.

Plot


Vikramaditya is a world-renowned palmist who was born in 1978 in Italy. He is a follower of the saint Paramahamsa and has been dubbed the "Einstein of palmistry." Vikramaditya does not believe in romantic connections, yet he falls in love with Dr. Prerana right away. They meet on a train but then part ways. One day, Vikramaditya reads Anand Rajput's palm, an ambitious politician and businessman. When Vikramaditya prophesies that Rajput will not be a politician, Rajput's men pursue him, causing him to have an accident. He is admitted to and treated at the hospital where Prerana works. Vikramaditya suggests to Prerana to flirt with him when he recovers. Prerana, on the other hand, is offended and flees town, but Vikramaditya pursues her all the way. She accepts his proposal, and they start dating. date. Prerana's uncle, on the other hand, advises her not to fall in love with Vikramaditya.



A guy approaches Vikramaditya and Prerana on a train and asks him to read the palm of his daughter Tara, a promising archer. He believes she has no future in athletics and should instead concentrate on her schooling. Everyone in the coach is impressed by Vikramaditya's ability and requests predictions by revealing their palms, but Vikramaditya reluctantly sits down with Prerana. He soon understands, however, that everyone aboard the train is doomed to death. He follows the train in an attempt to halt it, but in vain. Later that evening, the train is involved in an accident, resulting in multiple casualties. Prerana, who is beginning to believe in palmistry, requests that Vikramaditya read her palm. He believes she will live a long life with a She has a promising future, but she collapses instantly with a gushing nose. Prerana is brought to the hospital, where her uncle, also a doctor, informs her that she has an inoperable tumor and may die within months. Prerana is now optimistic about her future. Her uncle, on the other hand, feels Vikramaditya is a con artist and that only medicine can save her. He presents Vikramaditya with five deceased people's palms, and Vikramaditya correctly deduces all of them. Her uncle reconsiders and believes Vikramaditya's forecast. When treatment for Prerana's sickness is discovered, he proposes to Vikramaditya. 

However, he rejects her, stating that he cannot love her since he lacks a "love-line" and would be leaving the country shortly. Prerana is depressed and contemplates suicide until she stumbles across Vikramaditya's journal. She discovers that Vikramaditya was willing to give his life to save her. Vikramaditya brings Prerana to a ballroom dance as per her request before departing, and the pair has a good time.

Radhe Shyam was released in theatres on March 11, 2022. The film was originally slated to be released on July 30, 2021, however it was postponed because to the COVID-19 outbreak in India. [38] Later in July 2021, it was stated that the film will be released on 14 January 2022, but UV Creations revealed in early January that the film had been postponed owing to the Omicron version. [39] It was revealed in February 2022 that the film will be released on March 11, 2022. [40] [41] The film was made available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. [42]


The film made 210 crore in pre-release revenue from the sale of theatre rights.[43]

Box office


According to the producers, the picture grossed a total of 79 crore globally on its first day. [47] On the second day, the film earned a worldwide gross of 40 crore, bringing the total for the first two days to 119 crore. [48] On the third day, the film earned a worldwide gross of 32 crore, bringing the total opening weekend gross to 151 crore. [49] "Among the international centres, Radhe Shyam scored well at the US box office, where it grossed Rs 13.8 crore with a distributors' share of Rs 6.9 crore in the three-day opening weekend," according to IB Times. [50]

The film earned a total global gross of 165.18 crore as of 14 March 2022.
